2. Information We Collect

a. From the Plugin

When any of our plugins are activated on your website, they send limited technical data to our servers to enable license management and AI functionality. The data is sent:

  • Once on activation/reactivation – Site registration and initial setup
  • Weekly – To keep version info updated for compatibility support
  • When using AI features – Only when you explicitly trigger AI functionality (e.g., generating alt text or content)
  • Usage statistics – To track your monthly generation limits and subscription status
  • Purchase transactions – For Pro subscriptions and Generation Pack purchases

Each plugin displays an informational notice on first activation explaining what data is collected. No explicit consent is required as the data collected is limited to technical information necessary for the service to function.

MinThink Auto Alt Text Generator specifically:

  • Sends image URLs (not the actual images) when generating alt text
  • Tracks monthly generation limits
  • Tracks Generation Pack purchases and balances

MinThink Auto Post Content Generator specifically:

  • Sends content generation parameters you provide (topic, keywords, additional info, tone, reading level, word count, image prompts/settings), plus site URL and site ID, to our API for processing
  • If image generation is enabled, prompts and image settings are sent to OpenAI. Generated images may be temporarily stored on our server to deliver them back to your site (then deleted automatically)
  • Tracks usage limits and subscription status

b. From Our Website

If you contact us, purchase a Pro subscription, or purchase Generation Packs, we may collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Payment information (processed securely via Stripe)
  • Support correspondence

Payment details are never stored on our servers — they are handled exclusively by Stripe under their own Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use the Information

We use collected data to:

  • Verify plugin licenses and track activations
  • Provide AI-generated services (alt text, content generation, etc.)
  • Track monthly generation limits and paid generation pack balances
  • Process Pro subscription payments and Generation Pack purchases
  • Improve plugin performance and stability
  • Communicate updates, bug fixes, or feature announcements (if you opt in)
  • Ensure compliance with usage limits and API costs
  • Provide customer support

4. Data Retention

We retain the following data:

  • Site registration data (site_id, URL, versions): Indefinitely for license management
  • Usage records (monthly generation counts): Current billing cycle + 12 months
  • Generation Pack purchase records: Indefinitely (to maintain paid generation balances)
  • Payment transaction records: As required by law (typically 7 years)
  • Event Logs (activation, deactivation, purchases): 7 years to coincide with payment and usage records
  • Debug logs may include generation prompts and partial AI responses for troubleshooting (typically deleted 3–5 days if no ongoing issues)
  • Generated image files may be stored temporarily on our servers for delivery (deleted automatically after transferring to your WordPress Library)

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

Third‑party services used by the plugin:

OpenAI API (via our proxy)

  • Purpose: AI text generation (alt text, content, etc.)
  • Data Sent: Only the data described in Section 2(a), and only when you trigger AI features
  • Privacy: No images or content are permanently stored or reused by OpenAI
  • When: Only when you explicitly trigger AI features

Stripe

  • Purpose: Payment processing (Pro subscriptions and Generation Pack purchases)
  • Data Sent: Billing information, email, payment details (handled directly by Stripe)
  • When: Only if you choose to upgrade to Pro plan or purchase Generation Packs

  • Important: Payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe. We only receive confirmation of successful payments and do not store credit card details.

6. What We Don’t Do

We do NOT:

  • Store your site’s existing images or unpublished drafts. Generated content and prompts may appear in server logs for troubleshooting, and generated images may be temporarily stored for delivery
  • Track user behavior or page views on your site
  • Share data with advertisers or marketing companies
  • Require explicit consent (beyond installing the plugin)
  • Make direct SQL queries to your database (all database access uses WordPress’s standard API functions)

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use standard analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) and functional cookies to understand visitor traffic and improve usability.

Our plugins do not set cookies or use tracking scripts on your WordPress site.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect data, including:
