These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Auto Alt Text Generator For SEO WordPress plugin and related services provided by Hatrix Solutions (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing, activating, or using our plugin, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

a. From the Plugin
By using our plugin, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our [Privacy Policy](https://hatrixsolutions.com/privacy). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our plugin.

2. Description of Service

2.1. Free Plan

Our plugin provides AI-powered alt text generation for WordPress images using OpenAI’s API.
The FREE plan includes:

  • Up to 10 Alt Text Generations Per Month

  • Form Submit Support

  • Basic image analysis and description

2.2. Pro Plan
The Pro plan includes:

  • Up to 50 alt text generations per month

  • Priority processing

  • Email Support

  • Early Access to new features

  • Bulk Generation is available to all users (Free and Pro) within their monthly quota limits.
2.3 Generation Packs
Generation Packs are one-time purchases that add generations to your account:

  • 20-Pack: $5 USD for 20 generations

  • Generations never expire – use them anytime

  • Works alongside your monthly quota (monthly quota is used first, then paid generations)

  • Available to Free and Pro users

  • Non-refundable after purchase (generations are immediately added to your account)

  • Additional pack sizes may be available in the future, but you can purchase quantities

2.4. Service Requirements
Our plugin requires:

  • Active internet connection

  • Communication with external APIs (Hatrix Solutions and OpenAI API)

  • A valid WordPress installation (version 5.0 or higher recommended)

3. Account and Registration

3.1 Automatic Registration
When you activate the plugin, a unique site ID is automatically generated and registered with our servers. This is necessary for:

  • API access and authentication

  • Usage tracking and limit enforcement

  • Pro plan management

  • Compatibility support

3.2 Account Information
Information we collect automatically

  • Site Admin Email address (for support and account management messages)

  • Site URL

  • WordPress version and plugin version

3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your WordPress installation

  • Any activity that occurs under your site ID

  • Notifying us of any unauthorized use

4. Usage Limits and Fair Use

4.1 Monthly Limits

  • Free Plan: 10 generations per month

  • Pro Plan: 50 generations per month

4.1.1 Generation Packs
Generation Packs provide additional generations beyond your monthly quota:

  • 20-Pack: $5 USD for 20 Image Alt Text generations

  • Pack purchases are one-time payments, not subscriptions

  • Paid generations never expire and can be used at any time

  • When generating alt text, your monthly quota is used first, then paid generations. 

  • You can purchase multiple packs – they stack additively

  • No refunds for Generation Pack purchases after generations are added to your account

 
4.2 Limit Enforcement
Usage limits reset on the day of the month you originally signed up. Attempts to exceed your plan limits will result in:

  • Error messages indicating limit reach

  • Inability to generate additional alt text until next reset or upgrade

4.3 Fair Use Policy
You agree not to:

  • Share your site ID with others

  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits

  • Use automated systems to abuse the service

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our API endpoints

  • Use the service for illegal or harmful purposes

5. Pro Plan Subscriptions

5.1 Payment
All payments are processed securely through Stripe:
5.1.1 Pro Plan Subscriptions

  • Monthly subscription fee: $10.00 USD  per month

  • Automatic renewal on the same day each month

  • By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method monthly

5.1.2 Generation Packs

  • One-time payment: $5.00 USD for 20 generations

  • No recurring charges – single purchase only
  • Generations are immediately added to your account upon successful payment
  • All fees are in USD and exclude applicable taxes
5.2 Billing and Renewal

  • Subscriptions automatically renew monthly

  • You will be charged on the same day each month

  • You can cancel anytime before your next billing date

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

5.3 Refund Policy

  • 30–Day Money-Back Guarantee: First-time Pro subscribers can request a full refund within 30 days of inital purchase

  • Refunds for unused periods: We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months

  • No refunds after usage: If you’ve used your Pro plan features, refunds may be denied at our discretion

5.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with:

  • 30 days advanced notice to existing subscribers

  • Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at current price for 6 months

  • New price applies to new subscriptions immediately

5.5 Cancellation
5.5.1 Pro Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time:

  • Through the plugin dashboard

  • By contacting Hatrix Solutions Support Page

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

  • You retain Pro features until the end of your paid period

  • You will be able to continue using the Free Version of the plugin. (receive 5 free generations per month)
5.5.2 Generation Pack Cancellation
Generation Packs are non-refundable after purchase:
  • Generation Packs are  immediately added to your account upon successful payment
  • No cancellation or refunds available for Generation Pack purchase
  • If you experience a payment error, contact support within 7 days of purchase
5.6 Generation Pack Terms
5.6.1 Generation Pack Terms
  • Generation Packs are are purchased as one-time payments
  • Upon successful payment, generations are immediately added to your account
  • No activation required – generations are available immediately
5.6.2 Usage
Paid generations work alongside your monthly quota:
  • Monthly quota is used first when generating Image Alt Text
  • Paid generations are used automatically when monthly quota is exhausted
  • Paid generations never expire – use them anytime
5.6.4 Refunds
Generation Packs are non-refundable:
  • Generations are immediately added to your account upon purchase
  • No refunds or cancellations after successful payment
  • If you experience a payment error, contact support within 7 days of purchase

6. Data Collection and Privacy

6.1 Data We Collect
We collect the following data to provide our service:

  • Site Information: Site URL, WP Admin Email, WordPress version, plugin version

  • Usage Data: Number of generations, images processed, API call timestamps

  • Payment Information: Processed by Stripe (we do not store credit card details)

6.2 How We Use Data
We use collected data to:

  • Provide and improve the service

  • Enforce usage limits

  • Process Pro subscriptions

  • Provide compatibility support

  • Analyze service performance

7. External Services

7.1 Third-Party Services
Our plugin uses the following external services:

  • OpenAI API. Purpose: Generate AI-powered alt text descriptions: Data Sent: Image URLs and metadata. Privacy: OpenAI Privacy Policy

  • Stripe. Purpose: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions and Generation Pack purchases. Data sent: Billing Information, email, payment details. Privacy: Stripe Privacy Policy

7.2 Service Availability
We rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for:

  • Third-party service outages or disruptions

  • Changes to third-party APIs or pricing

  • Third-party data handling practices

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Plugin Ownership
The plugin code, design, and functionality are owned by Hatrix Solutions and protected by copyright law.
8.2 Generated Content
Alt text generated by our plugin is owned by you. We do not claim ownership of generated content. However:

  • Generated content may not be unique (other users may generate similar alt text)

  • We store metadata about generations for service operation

8.3 Your License
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the plugin according to these Terms.
8.4 Restrictions
You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the plugin

  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices

  • Create derivative works based on the plugin

  • Reverse engineer the plugin (except where prohibited by law)

9. Warranties and Disclaimers

9.1 Service “As Is”
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
9.2 No Warranty of Accuracy
We do not guarantee that:

  • Generated alt text will be 100% accurate or appropriate

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free

  • All images will be successfully processed

  • Generated content will meet SEO requirements

9.3 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing and editing generated alt text

  • Ensuring alt text meets accessibility standards

  • Verifying accuracy before publishing

  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

10. Limitations of Liability

10.1 Limitation
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HATRIX SOLUTIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use

  • Service interruptions or data loss

  • Third-party service failures

10.2 Maximum Liability
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10.3 Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for personal injury or certain types of damages. These limitations may not apply to you.

11. Idemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hatrix Solutions from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the plugin

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of any third-party rights

  • Content you generate or publish using the plugin

12. Termination

12.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the plugin at any time by:

  • Deactivating the plugin in WordPress

  • Deleting the plugin files

  • Canceling your Pro Subscription (if applicable)

12.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms

  • Abuse the service or exceed fair use

  • Engage in fraudulent activity

  • Fail to pay subscription fees

12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:

  • Your access to the service will cease

  • Pro features will be disabled

  • Generated alt text remains on your site

  • No refund for partial months (except as stated in Refund Policy)

  • Unused paid generations from Generation Packs are forfeited upon termination

13. Changes to Terms

13.1 Modification Rights
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be:

  • Posted on this page with updated “Last Updated” date

  • Notified via email (if you provided one) for material changes

  • Effective immediately for new users

  • Effective 30 days after notice for existing users

13.2 Continue Use
Your continued use of the plugin after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
 

14. General Provisions

14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ohio (United Sates), without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes shall be resolved through:
1. Good faith negotiation
2. Binding arbitration (if negotiation fails)
3. Small claims court (for claims under jurisdiction limit)
 
14.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
14.4 Entire Agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hatrix Solutions.
14.5 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
14.6 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights to any affiliate or successor.

16.1 WordPress.org Guidelines

16.2 GPL License
The plugin code is licensed under GPL v2 or later, in compliance with WordPress.org requirements. However, access to our API services requires acceptance of these Terms.
